Aishwarya Rai has reportedly bagged a Canadian project titled Partition. She has also been signed up by Gurinder Chaddha of Bend It Like Beckham fame, to play the leading role in her next film Bride and Prejudice, based on Jane Austen?s novel Pride and Prejudice, in which she plays Lalita Bakshi, the desi version of Elizabeth. Meanwhile after Paro, Aishwarya is all set to bewitch her fans again, this time as the beautiful Anarkali, in Raj Kumar Santoshi?s latest dream project which is said to be a remake of Mehboob?s classic Mughal-e-Azam. Big B will play Akbar and Shah Rukh Khan will be Prince Salim.

After Kaante, Pritish Nandy is all set to remake Guru Dutt?s classic Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam. Although the casting is undecided, Nandy has already signed Salman Khan to play Bhootnath, the character that was enacted by Guru Dutt in the classic. According to Nandy, even the director has not been finalised as yet.

Ex-Miss World Diana Hayden is set to make her mark in an international project. The beauty queen will be seen in Othello for which she recently completed shooting in South Africa. Another beauty queen is all set to jump on to the Bollywood bandwagon ? Neha Dhupia. Her first film Qayamat opposite Ajay Devgan and Sunil Shetty is almost ready and is slated for release sometime around April-May.

KP Saxena who achieved fame as the dialogue writer of Oscar nominee Lagaan, will write the screenplay and dialogues for Anil Kapoor?s home production Sena which is to be launched soon.

Rohan Sippy, son of Ramesh Sippy is all set to make his debut as a director with Kuch Naa Kaho starring Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. The film is being readied for release around April-May.

Disappointment for the Devdas team. Bhansali?s magnum opus failed to be nominated in the Best Foreign Film category of the Oscars.
