Letter from First Lady Mrs. Roosevelt

November 28, 1933 - A letter is sent from the secretary of First Lady Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt to Bhagwan Singh Gyanee. Gyanee was one of the leaders of the Ghadar Party, a U.S. based organization that fought for India’s independence. The letter reads, “Mrs. Roosevelt asks me to thank you for your interest in writing, and to express her regret that her time in New York was so short that it was impossible to see you.”
