Purbasha presents Bhoomi concert at Kali Puja

December 2011
Purbasha presents Bhoomi concert at Kali Puja Purbasha, the newest Bengali organization of Atlanta, for the first time celebrated Kali Puja, with Bengalis gathering at Meadowcreek High School on 29th October to immerse themselves in aradhana (an act of glorifying god) of goddess Kali.

A 450-plus crowd was treated to a concert by Bhoomi, the top Bengali band from Kolkata, to make it a night to remember. Bhoomi (meaning Earth) has seen its popularity soar, has toured internationally, and was the first Indian band to play at the United Nations. Its style is a fusion of modern, urban lyrics with Bangla rural folk tunes.
