Atlanta dance teams place 1st, 2nd, 3rd in different national competitions: GT Qurbani 1st in Bollywood fusion; Emory Savera 2nd in classical dance; and Emory SaRaas 3rd in Garba-Raas.

Emory Savera won 2nd place in a national dance competition. Instead of performing their typical fusion of the styles, they performed Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, and Kathak in a story on climate change.

Emory's co-ed, nationally ranked, Indian Garba-Raas dance team, competes in 4-5 cities annually. On February 4, 2017 they placed 3rd in Garba-Raas at the A-Town Showdown in Atlanta.
