Diwali Mela at Chai Pani
Come celebrate Diwali with us! This year we will have specials galore, a live henna artist, beautiful festive decorations, and goodie bags for everyone!
Diwali is a derived from the Sanskrit word 'deepavali', which means a row or series of lights. While Diwali is primarily a Hindu festival, people of many religious backgrounds celebrate the festival with equal enthusiasm. The significance and story of the festival varies based on reigon, religious sect, and even family but the excitement and the festive spirit remain the same throughout. In each legend, myth, and story of Diwali lies the significance of the victory of good over evil. From darkness unto light—the light empowers us to commit ourselves to good deeds and brings us closer to divinity. During Diwali, lights illuminate every corner of India and the scent of incense hangs in the air, mingled with the sounds of firecrackers, joy, togetherness, and hope.
We'll be celebrating Diwali at both Chai Pani Decatur and Botiwalla on 11/7 from 5:30-9:30p. There will be food & drink specials at both restaurants plus illuminated lanterns and flowers (from India!), firecrackers, rangoli (Indian folk art), a live henna artist, and gift bags for guests.
We look forward to celebrating with you and your family!
