World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates 2015 Gala.
The gala is a great way to get involved in the 2015 Nobel Peace Laureate Summit held in Atlanta next November. "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our members to showcase their personal passions, whether that's entrepreneurship, community service, health, or technology," said TiE CM Dr. Mohammad Bhuiyan, who is also a member of the Summit's host committee. Atlanta is hosting The World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, one of the world’s most important events for promoting democratic values, freedom and peace. Scheduled for November 15-19, 2015 (see note below), the Summit will consist of three and a half days of debates and meetings to discuss the challenges of global civilization and the means to support democracy and world peace. Topics will include civil rights, human rights, women’s empowerment, water access, sustainability, global health, nuclear threats, technology, education, youth, poverty, economic prosperity and global peace.
President Jimmy Carter and Professor Muhammed Yunus are the two Peace Laureate Hosts and Ted Turner is the Honorary Chair for the Atlanta Summit. The Summit is organized by the Permanent Secretariat of the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, the City of Atlanta and Yunus Creative Lab, Inc., an Atlanta-based 501c(3) nonprofit organization that is coordinating the event.
TiE Atlanta is on the Host Committee for the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates 2015.
