Gāyatrī Mantra Sound Immersion

Join us for a special online event: Ian and Margo will present a sound immersion with the Gāyatrī Mantra. Ordinarily, Cosmic Sound Mandala only performs this immersion on the Summer and Winter Solstices, but we've decided that the world needs the vibration of this mantra from as many people as possible right now.
Gāyatrī is the Divine Light given form as a mantra, which bestows knowledge of the True Self and is thought to be a source of all spiritual wisdom. The Gāyatrī Mantra is a Sanskrit prayer with four lines that comes from the Ṛg Veda, the most ancient text of Hindu philosophy (and possibly the oldest spiritual text still existing today), that is considered to be the distillation of all the wisdom contained in the Vedas.
This mantra draws down the Divine Light of true knowledge into our minds, illuminating all the spaces that have been darkened by ignorance and delusion, and is thought to be one of the most direct pathways to enlightenment. It is so powerful and important that there is a manifestion of Divine Mother, Gāyatrī Devī, who exists just to manage the use of this mantra.
Chanting of the Gāyatrī Mantra will be accompanied by a recitation of the Gāyatrī Stotram, an eight verse prayer that manifests an additional level of vibrational energy.
