A Description of the event by Atlanta musician Ian Boccio:

Dear Friends,

It is with great joy that I am able to let you all know about a once-in-a-lifetime spiritual event that has the potential to be life-changing and world-changing! One of my most important mentors, Amma Shri Karunamayi, is here in Atlanta right now and she will be officiating and directing the energy of a huge fire ceremony just South of the city, in Forsyth, with 11 fire pits, more than 100 priests chanting, thousands expected to attend from all over the world, all day for 10 days in a row. This ceremony will be invoking the thousand names of Divine Mother in an effort to direct the vibration of the world towards peace. I had the honor of being invited personally by Amma to help in the construction and set up for this ceremony and spent several hours at the SRIM Center, Amma's ashram in Forsyth, working with the devoted and diligent crew. Amma was on site throughout the day, coordinating the construction and making sure that the Vastu (sacred geometry) of all the elements was laid out perfectly. I have witnessed the magnitude of what is being created there, and I can say, without a doubt that it will be one of the most blessed events you will have the opportunity to participate in during this lifetime!

The opening ceremony begins this Friday, May 29th, at 8pm. After that, on each day from May 30 to June 7, the fire ceremonies will begin at 8:00 am and will continue until the early evening. Special blessings will be sent out each day and each day's program will be slightly different. You are welcome to attend as much as your schedule will allow. Even one day spent at this sacred event will have a profound effect.

This event is FREE to attend and there will be a free meal given to all attendees at mid-day (I helped to move some of the gigantic pots and pans to the open-air kitchen they have constructed - the food is going to be amazing!) If you are able, please bring some cash to donate to Amma's charity organization, which helps to uplift women and children around the world.

The SRIM Center is located at 285 Julie Lane, Forsyth, GA 31029

Please scroll down to read more information! I hope to see you all there.

Prema!
Ian

What is the Lalita Sahasranama Maha Maha Yajnam?

From May 29th to June 7th of this year, the Lalita Sahasranama Maha Maha Yajnam will be performed at the SRIM Center, located at 285 Julie Lane in Forsyth, GA. The Lalita Sahasranama is a sacred chant in reverence to the Divine Mother; Maha Maha Yajnam literally means the 'Great, Great Offering'. This program is a 10-day fire ceremony in praise of the Divine Mother that has the power to transform the world and human consciousness.

This entire creation is like a great tree created by the Divine Mother's resolve. The true intention of this Maha Maha Yajnam is to sustain that tree and to bathe its roots in the soothing vibrations created by these homas. This creation should always be prosperous. Mother Earth should always support life and living beings. The desire for war should be eradicated from the minds of all humans, and women around the world should be respected and honored. For these reasons we are performing this great, great offering.

All are welcome to attend and participate - leave behind the differences of gender, religion, creed, and nationality. It is not necessary to know the Lalita Sahasranama to attend or to be a participant in the yajnam.

Why are we performing this program?

The Maha Maha Yajnam is being performed to celebrate the completion of 2 billion recitations of the Sri Lalita Sahasranama, a feat that took over 50 years to accomplish - it is simply not possible to repeat such an undertaking again in this lifetime.

Puja and Homa performed with Sri Lalita Sahasranama has the power to heal the earth, prevent natural disasters, eliminate nuclear/global radiation, bring timely rainfalls and abundant crops, prevent the suffering caused by wars and bring about universal peace.

If a single Lalita Sahasranama Homa bestows endless material and spiritual benefit, then a yajna with the fruit of 2 billion recitations of praise to the Universal Mother holds unimaginable promise. This Maha Maha Yajnam bestows victory in all the deeds, wealth, health, elimination of all sorrows, strength and glory to all who witness this unprecedented event. It is promised in the Vedas that the opportunity to chant the Lalita Sahasranama is obtained by those people for whom this is the last birth. Thus, it is a great boon to come to know of the Lalita Sahasranama.

This is our invitation to all of the children of the Universal Mother around the world, presented with sincerity and love, to attend this Maha Maha Yajnam.

Who is conducting this program?

This program is being performed under the guidance of Amma Sri Karunamayi. Amma Sri Karunamayi is revered around the world as embodiment of unconditional, divine love. She is has initiated numerous humanitarian projects around the world through the SMVA Trust, a non-profit organization founded in 1995. Since then Sri Karunamayi has worked tirelessly to empower women and girls and to inspire everyone to live a life of selfless service and love for all.

It was Amma's mother that began chanting the Lalita Sahasranama and inspiring others to do so, until today the total number of recitations has reached 2 billion.
