We would be honored to have you join us for our Annual Interfaith Iftar during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The theme for the event this year will be our "Voices of Peace" campaign as we pray for a ceasefire and lasting peace in the Gaza-Israel war.

The program will be held at Baitul Ata Mosque, 1800 Willow Trail Pkwy, Norcross, GA 30093 on Saturday, March 30th, 2024 at 6:00 PM.

Ramadan is the holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal for Muslims worldwide. During Ramadan, Muslims abstain from food and drink from dawn to sunset, and focus on prayers and achievement of spiritual excellence. Iftar means "breaking the fast" and it is an integral part of a Muslim community's life during Ramadan. Muslims do Iftar with their family members or community members gather together at sunset to break their fast.

About Ahmadiyya Muslim Community:

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, fast-growing international revival movement within Islam. Founded in 1889, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community spans over 200 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, established in 1920, is among the oldest American-Muslim organizations. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the foremost Islamic organization with a central spiritual leader, known as the Khalifa of Islam. His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad (Mir-za Mas-roor Ah-mad), is the fifth Khalifa (Caliph) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the only Islamic organization to believe that the long-awaited messiah has come in the person of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908) of Qadian, India. Ahmad claimed to be the metaphorical second coming of Jesus of Nazareth and the divine guide, whose advent was foretold by the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Community believes that God sent Ahmad, like Jesus, to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and re-institute morality, justice and peace. Ahmad's advent has brought about an unprecedented era of Islamic revival and moderation. He divested Muslims of fanatical beliefs and practices by vigorously championing Islam's true and essential teachings.

Muslims Invite the City to Open Iftar for Ramadan

Muslims host special Interfaith Iftar event to unite voices calling for peace

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA is, once again, hosting Interfaith Open Iftars around the country, this time with the theme of “Voices for Peace.” The focus of this effort is to amplify the voices calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine and a long-term peaceful resolution with a shared commitment to peace, justice, and human dignity. With world leaders not doing their part to de-escalate the conflict and protect human lives, the Voices for Peace Interfaith Iftar provides a grass-roots initiative for Americans to come together in respect and friendship to raise the voices calling for an end to violence and a commitment to peace.
