Junior Achievement BizTown & Finance Park Volunteer Day.
TiE Atlanta is beginning a partnership with JA, due to a great alignment in our missions related to youth entrepreneurship. As a Store Volunteer, you will guide middle school students through either the JA BizTown or JA Finance Park programs:
JA BizTown creates an opportunity for students to interact within a simulated economy and take on the role of employee, tax payer and consumer. During the visit to JA BizTown students receive job assignments and work in teams of 5-7 at their assigned business to try and generate a profit. Volunteers serve as business consultants for the day, coaching a group students through the decisions and tasks they need to complete.
JA Finance Park allows students to experience their personal financial futures first-hand. Upon entering the center, students receive a ‘life situation’ with job, income, education, and family scenarios. Based on their adult persona, students visit businesses in the simulation to gather information about different financial decisions in order to complete a balanced household budget. Volunteers serve as personal financial advisors for the day, coaching students through the decisions they need to make.

8:00am Volunteer arrival (free parking & coffee provided)
8:30am Volunteer orientation and station assignment
9:30am Student Arrival
11:30am Lunch rotation begins (free Chick-fil-A lunch is provided)
2:30pm Student Departure
