May 2021 - A young man, Astik, is dead, and while his immediate family is inconsolable and a stream of relatives start arriving at their Lucknow haveli for 13 days of mourning, Astik’s wife of five months, Sandhya feels no sadness. All the young widow craves at this somber moment is some Pepsi and chips! So this is Pagglait’s unusual premise. But the movie, unfolding as a quirky drama, is not flippant. This is its greatest strength, not that it is without flaws.
