Hello! Event organized by BanyanWay for singles
April 2021 - BanyanWay event for singles’ in the Valentine month was based on the theme of ‘Love Languages.’ Based out of Atlanta, BanyanWay is a matchmaking platform for Indians living in the U.S. Held on February 20 with almost fifty attendees from all over the country, it turned out to be one of the matchmaking platform’s most successful singles’ events. BanyanWay’s brand ambassador Archith Seshadri and other BanyanWay hosts engaged the participants in various icebreaker and breakout room activities.

Raksha organizes discussions on Black Allyship and Teen Dating Violence
April 2021 - On February 19, Raksha hosted a youth speaker panel to create an engaging and thought-provoking conversation around dating violence and healthy relationships in the South Asian community in honor of Teen Dating Violence Awareness month (TDVAM). The event, co-hosted by National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) Atlanta and ATL Q+A, was livestreamed on Raksha’s social media platforms.

GIACC hosts a discussion on the Second Round of Payment Protection Plan
March 2021 - On February 3, 2021, Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (GIACC) flagged off its 2021 calendar of events with a webinar very relevant to small and medium-sized businesses as well as professionals, during these pandemic times. GIACC along with Quantum National Bank conducted an informative webinar on the Paycheck Protection Program Round 2 offered by the Small Business Administration (SBA).

Dhoop Chaoon comes up with a web series Bollywood Bnaam Dhoop Chaoon
March 2021 - Dhoop Chaoon, a leading Hindi theatre group active in Atlanta for the last 14 years, has come up with its latest presentation in the form of a three-episode web series Bollywood Bnaam DhoopChaoon. In light of the current pandemic, the director and writer, Sandhya Saxena Bhagat, wanted to present a light-hearted comedy with the intention of providing wholesome entertainment loaded with humor and nostalgia. What better way to connect with the audiences than Bollywood!

Dhoop Chaaon brings a digital play, Bade Ghar Ki Beti
February 2021 - In November 2020, Dhoop Chaaon, a 13-year-old Hindi theatre group in Atlanta, presented Bade Ghar ki Beti, a play over digital media. This play was filmed and presented at an online theatre festival, Prayash 2020, organized by Swati Dey Productions. It is based on a popular story written by the famous Hindi author, Munshi Premchand who was known for touching upon social issues faced by the peasant class.

Vibha receives Love Takes Action Award from New York Life Foundation
February 2021 - Vibha has been awarded a $50,000 Love Takes Action Award from the New York Life Foundation. The grant will support their commitment to every child gaining quality public education in the U.S. and India by enabling scalable solutions to drive excellence in the quality of public education.

Aabaha organizes International Theater Festival
February 2021 - Atlanta-based theater group, Aabaha organized an International Theater Festival. Planned as a global event, the festival was hosted digitally on December 5, 6, 12 and 15 of 2020 where twenty-four groups from nine different countries participated. Ten groups were from across the U.S., while others were from India, Bangladesh, Canada, England, France, Sweden, Netherlands, and Dubai.

January 2021 - Raksha celebrated its 25th year of incorporation and service to the South Asian communities in metro Atlanta by hosting its annual fundraiser event Ek Shaam Raksha Ke Naam on December 3, 2020 as a free virtual event.
