USA India Business Summit (UIBS) and Georgia Tech CIBER (GT CIBER) have been working together for over a decade to present remarkably interesting events and seminars in Georgia. On August 12, 2020, these two organizers presented a webinar titled, “India at 73: Its role in the emerging new World Order.” The webinar offered attendees a first-hand perspective about India, which was going to celebrate its 73rd Independence Day on August 15, 2020, and its role in the new emerging world order.

On July 17, 2020, Raksha, Inc. and Antonini & Cohen Immigration Law Group co-hosted a virtual town hall webinar to discuss the impact of recent executive orders on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) policy on international students on F-1, M-1 visas. The webinar also discussed travel and family-based consular processing for non-immigrant work visas.

An online poetry series was organized by Raksha, Inc., the Georgia-based nonprofit organization working for South Asian survivors of violence. This “Poetry & Chai Series steeped in South Asian roots and flavors, infused with the values of hope and resilience” created a platform for local poets to showcase their poetry.

ArtInCrochet, a decade old nonprofit serving Atlanta area, has donated more than 500 ear savers to some of the major hospitals around Atlanta during the pandemic. These ear savers are helpful for everyone, especially healthcare workers who need to put on masks for long hours and end up getting bruises on the back of their ears from elastic from the masks.
