Monisha (Mona) Mahadevan of Dunwoody, an 8th grader at Woodward Academy, won the 2015 Georgia State Spelling Bee and will go on to the Scripps Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. in May.

Aditya Suri, an 11th-grader in Marietta, was awarded a $20,000 scholarship as National Grand Prize winner from Samsung App Academy. His app helps people with visual, vocal, or auditory impairments.
