– Uday Shankar and his Hindu Ballet perform at the War Memorial Opera House in San Francisco, CA. A dancer and a choreographer, Shankar was the older brother of noted musician Ravi Shankar.

Uday Shankar’s performance in San Francisco was part of an 84-city tour in the United States. His style combined European techniques with Indian classical, folk, and tribal dance.
