ArtInCrochet, a decade old nonprofit serving Atlanta area, has donated more than 500 ear savers to some of the major hospitals around Atlanta during the pandemic. These ear savers are helpful for everyone, especially healthcare workers who need to put on masks for long hours and end up getting bruises on the back of their ears from elastic from the masks.

The Dream Voice virtual fundraiser was organized by VIBHA in partnership with Shankar Mahadevan Academy and Anand Entertainment. The online singing contest received an overwhelming response from across the globe. It attracted close to 400 entries that came in across all continents. The entries were divided into three categories: Little Champs (age 3 to 13 years), Teen Champs (13-19 years), and Super Champs (age 19 and above). The top 20 contestants were selected by preliminary round judges: Rekha Pallath, Sid Philar, Anamika Pal, and Ram Durvasula. The names of the contestants were posted on the website as votes poured in for public choice awards.

For the first time ever, twenty seven models in Atlanta came together for a unique and first-of-its-kind virtual fashion show, presented by Mitesh Mehta, CEO, and Mustafa Ajmeri, President of Enlighten India USA Media House LLC. Enlighten India is a fashion and glamour magazine, which has been covering famous super models, actors, and actresses for more than a decade.

On Sunday, May 31, the virtual panel discussion on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Government, Economy, Higher Education, Healthcare, and Immigration was eloquently presented by all panelists. Representative Todd Jones, Georgia House of Representatives (District 25), addressed issues regarding impact of COVID-19 on Government, local economy, and testing. He was candid in asserting that it is time that America should continue to lead the world, else someone else will! The audience appreciated him for not talking like a career politician. Mr. Jones acknowledged the contributions by the Indian community in Technology, Education, Health Care, Small Businesses etc.

To prevent the spread of contagious virus, Covid-19, Greater Atlanta Vedic Temple of Lilburn, GA, donated 10,000 disposable masks to many community organizations. It also donated food to multiple food pantries in Metro Atlanta area as well as in India.
