July 2012 - Modeled after the famous TV quiz show of Pakistan and Northern India, a Neelam Ghar show was in Atlanta in May, bringing a sense of community between desis, while indulging them with entertainment and prizes.

June 2012 - “Building a Better Community, One Step at a Time,” the BAPS Charities annual walkathon was held on Sunday, April 29, 2012 in Lilburn, GA. Over 650 members of the community participated this year.

15-Year Anniversary Celebrations of Senior Citizen Program
June 2012 - The Senior Citizen Program (SCP) celebrated its 15th anniversary. SCP programs help seniors in numerous ways, and as Guest speaker Greg Pridgeon noted, “You all, including our mentors, have interacted with each other and changed so many lives.”

Muslim Spelling Bee regional competition results for Georgia
June 2012 - The World’s First Annual English Muslim Spelling Bee began across the United States during March and April this year. Eight regional competitions were held. The bee will continue in the UK and Canada.

Swami B.S.Tirtha Maharaj visits Atlanta
June 2012 - Shrila Maharaj of the Gaudiya Vaishnava Association visited Atlanta and was invited to the Mayor's office in Johns Creek, where he gave his blessings to Mayor Bodkar and presented garlands from Vrindavan and Indian sweets.

First Recital by students of Pandit Jasraj School of Music
June 2012 - The students of Pandit Jasraj School of Music in Atlanta held their first recital on May 13, 2012. About 75 of the 90 students of the school performed vocal, tabla, and instrumental items, including fusion.
